What was the name given to the new Playstation Vita?

The official name for this new console from sony is Playstation vita or PS Vita but people commonly know it is PSP Vita. There are other names like the PSP 2, PSP NGP or psp next generation portable.

Do PS Vita has 3d?

PS Vita unfortunately cannot render 3D graphics unlike the 3DS but there are reports and rumors that 3D software was tested with the PSP Vita.

Do the PSP vita has a larger screen and larger size than its predecessors?

Is the games on the PS Vita region locked?

Games on the PSP vita has no region locked so you can play or use games you have bought overseas to the PS vita you have brought in the US as an example.

Can you play old psp games on the PS vita and play vita games on the old PSP versions?

Well there are reports that you can play old PSP games on the PS vita but you cannot play PS Vita games on older PSP versions

Can you use UMD or its a download only console like the PSP GO?

Well The UMD cannot be used on PS Vita but unlike the PSP Go which has no UMD, the PSP Vita has a new game media. The new game media looks nothing like a UMD but it has almost the same size.

Why do you think Sony created a new game media than using the old UMD media?

We really cannot say why sony created a new media even if the UMD is pretty much established. Piracy maybe a factor and the price of creating the new media maybe cheaper than the UMD.

How many slots do the PS Vita have?

PS Vita has 2 slots, one for the game media and one for expandable memory or memory stick.

What memory stick can we used in the PS Vita?

We are still not sure if the memory stick they will use will be a commercially one like microsd or like the same as the new game media but we are definitely sure that you cannot use your old Produo sticks for the PSP Vita.

Does the raised analog sticks better or worse?

Well I cannot say because I haven't used one personally. But from the mod I have used on my old PSP before with the same raised analog stick, there is higher sensitivity and the awkwardness of using it is gone so much better if you are playing your PSP non-stop.

What is more powerful the PS Vita or the old psp versions?

Well there is really no question that PS vita is more powerful because it uses a quad core processor and the old PSP versions like the PSP-3000 uses an obsolete dual core processor.

Will the battery of the PSP Vita last long?

Well sony has acknowledged that using graphics intensive games like uncharted might make battery life worse than the old PSP but on other games, they have the same battery life.

What are the new features of the new PSP Vita?

The PSP Vita has one touch screen in the front like the nintendo DS and another touch pad at the back of the PS Vita. The PSP Vita also has a microphone, gyro and accelometer.

Why do you think sony added, a microphone, touch screens, accelerometer(gyro or motion sensor) with the PS Vita?

Well i think, Sony just want a piece of the kind of gamers who likes touch screen capable games. With the recent success of the touch screen smart phones, It is really a given that touch screen capable devices has given the video game community another genre to play with. This is also the top feature of its direct competitor, the DS that PSP has no solutions before coming up with the PSP Vita.

Do you think sony copied the DS with the touch screen, microphone and camera for the PSP vita?

I can just say: "if you can't beat them, join them!"

Do playing the PS vita feels weird or akward?

I really can't tell because I haven't personally played one but there are youtube videos of those that attended the E3 2011 conference that playing the PS Vita feels weird especially using the touch pad on the back while using the other buttons on the front.

Do you think games for the ps vista would be better with those new features?

With those new features, the ps vita has at least a chance to entice some game publisher to make games for the psp but from the upcoming games seen on the E3 conference, most are old exclusives(uncharted for me is more of a port) which make the future of PSP Vita games library uncertain.

When will the PSP Vita released?

The PS Vita was already released on February 24, 2012.

Is the PSP Vita worth buying?

Well the whole concept of the PS is to have let hardcore gamers have their own handheld console which if you look at the history of video game consoles, most or almost all video game console cater to casual gamers or games that you can finish within a couple of hours. Adding features like touch screen, gyro and the mic is really good for the PSP gamers scene but PSP or sony has problems when urging game publisher to publish games let alone casual games so the added features like touch screen and such might entice them more to publish games for the PSP. I also find it weird that the 3DS only attention grabbing feature is the 3D graphics which is a little bit fuzzy when it comes to handheld gaming let alone on TV console gaming
Which is also not that much when compared to the new features added to the PS Vita.
